What was the highlight of Sienatel
A good place to unwind from the city.
The staff was delightful. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel is at the edge of Puerto Princessa, just far enough away from it to escape its noise and the pollution. Great location if you rent a car or a motorbike. Also, Robinson's Mall is about 3 minutes away (assuming you use car, motorbike, tricycle, or bicycle). Each room has a small terrace with a table and chairs overlooking the bay, which is very relaxing, especially at dusk. Meal portions were large: I ordered from room service a bowl of mushroom soup for P250; I expected, well, a regular size bowl of soup. What arrived blew me away: it was a veritable bucket of soup -- got six servings out of it! And, it was excellent! ... Rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean. Price was about right.
This large and very nice hotel with at least 50 rooms was essentially empty and for the first day my wife and I were the only guests. It felt a little odd, but the next day several more people arrived. One thing for sure: it made the place was quiet! I found it unusual that this large hotel does not have a swimming pool; then again,a hotel is affiliated with a Catholic university, and it is here that the school teaches Hotel & Hospitality management. To that end, I suppose a pool might interfere with the main goal of its existence: to teach hotel service and management.

Beds were comfortable.
Beds were comfortable. The view was beautiful. Front desk guy Mark was very pleasant and helpful. Nice balcony.
Really, really need a pool as its so far from everything and the restaurant was terrible and closed at 8:30 at night after which there is nothing to eat or drink available. Was not collected from the airport in spite of calling the night before to confirm pick up. Had to wait for ages and then got ripped off by taxi. No wi-fi in the rooms only in the lobby which is very inconvenient.

Superb service, very friendly staff, & well maintained facility.
Mark at the front desk was simply marvelous. Just ask him and you shall receive! Delicious food, superb service, classy decor & hot water! Did I mention hot water? That is a rare commodity in this country unless you’re in super expensive hotels. Sienatel was definitely more bang for your buck.
The bar wasn’t open as was most places in the area but it could be attributed to the holidays. We were here 12/30/18-1/2/19.
